• Microphone: Used together with video recording when audio is part of the submission.

• Account information: We may process account details such as username, email address, and student or teacher profile information needed to operate the service.
• Usage within embedded web content: If parts of the app use WebView or web-based portal screens, those screens may process the same account and submission data needed to deliver the feature.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information only to provide core app features, including:

• Recording and submitting student practice videos
• Reviewing submissions and sharing feedback through the portal
• Supporting login, account access, notifications, and related class management features

We do not use camera, microphone, or submitted media for advertising or cross-app tracking.

We do not sell personal data. Information is shared only as needed to deliver the app's functionality, such as making submitted videos available to authorized teachers, administrators, or service providers that support hosting, storage, or notifications on our behalf.We do not share user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Recorded media may be stored on the user's device before upload.
• Submitted videos and related account data may be stored on secure servers or cloud services used by MyKarate.
• We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

5. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions for core functionality:

• Camera permission to record videos
• Microphone permission to capture audio with those videos

If you do not grant these permissions, some core features may not work as intended.

• You can deny camera or microphone access through your device settings.
• You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
• You may contact us to request updates or deletion of account-related information, subject to our legal and operational obligations.

MyKarate may be used by students, including children, under the supervision of a parent, guardian, school, or instructor. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children except as needed to provide the service and manage student participation.
